Overview

Change the name of LEM reports using workarounds.

Environment

LEM on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

Steps

There two workarounds where you can change the title of a custom report:

  1. Copy the report to a Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 machine.
  2. Then from there, in Windows Explorer, right click the report file and select 'Properties' and go to the 'Summary' tab.
    • You can modify the Title using the 'Title' property.  You can also change the Category, Level, and Type of the report by editing the 'Subject' field:

  1. Next, copy your report back to the CustomReports folder wherever you have the LEM Reports installed.  The next time you open LEM reports, it will show the updated information.
    • NOTE: This functionality is no longer available in operating systems based on the Windows Vista or later kernel.

You can also open the report in a full version of Crystal Reports and change the title from there.
