Overview

After uninstalling an agent from Programs and Features, you find that the wizard does not ask for your LEM's hostname/IP address during the reinstallation.

Environment

All LEM versions

Cause 

Some configuration files may not have been removed during the normal uninstallation process.

Resolution

  1. Uninstall the SolarWinds Log and Event Manager Agent from Programs and Features.
  2. Go to the C:\Windows\system32 (32-bit) or C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (64-bit) and delete the entire ContegoSPOP folder.
  3. Run the agent installer again - right-click > Run as administrator.
