Adjust the time, date and time zone for virtual appliance

Overview

This article details how to adjust the time, date and time zone.

Environment

All LEM versions

Steps

  1. Connect to your LEM using SSH or a hypervisor virtual console.
  2. Type appliance and press ENTER.
  3. Type dateconfig and press ENTER. This sets/shows the date and time of the virtual appliance.
  4. Type tzconfig and press ENTER. This configures the time zone information of the virtual appliance.
  5. Enter exit twice to leave the CMC interface.

 

Note: If you are using Network Time Protocol (NTP) instead of setting the time manually, you will want to specify the NTP Servers using the ntpconfig command from the APPLIANCE section of the CMC rather than the dateconfig command.
