Overview

The service did not timely respond to the start or control request.

You do not have privilege to start the service, not a member of a domain admin nor local admin.

Ultidev Web Server service cannot start.

Environment

All Kiwi Syslog Server versions

Resolution

Repair Kiwi Web Access by performing the following:

  1. Logon as the built in Local Administrator Account and not domain Admin.

  2. Stop any Antivirus applications running in the background.

  3. Stop Kiwi Syslog Server Service and Ultidev Web Server service (if applicable).

  4. Uninstall Kiwi Web Access from the Control Panel.

  5. Start Kiwi Web Access Installation again.

    Run it from the \Syslogd\setup\ directory.

 

Note: If on Windows Vista, 7 or later, right click the extracted executable file and click Run as administrator.
