Perl script support for Kiwi syslog server

Overview

This article provides Perl script support for the Kiwi syslog server.

Environment

  • Kiwi Syslog v 9.x

Cause 

  • Perl script is working fine with Kiwi (except when using ActiveState® ActivePerl 5.18 or above versions)
  • Kiwi can only detect x86 perl script engine only.

Resolution

Install ActivePerl 5.8 x86 from the ActiveState or Google Code Archive website.
