Overview

This article shows you the steps on how to move Kiwi Syslog web filters to a new machine.

Environment

All Kiwi Syslog versions

Steps

The file that contains the web filter configurations is:

By Default:

C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Kiwi Syslog Web Access\html\App_Data\System.sdf

To transfer these settings to a new computer:

  1. Stop the Kiwi Syslog service.
  2. Stop the Kiwi Web access services (UltiDev Web Server Pro, UWS HiPriv Services, and UWS LoPriv Services)
  3. Copy the system.SDF from the old machine and overwrite the System.SDF file on the new machine.
  4. Start the web services.
  5. Start the syslog service.
