Kiwi Syslog installation freezes at "Registering RunService.dll"

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the issue when Kiwi Syslog installation process freezes on the following dll:

Registering RunService.dll


Kiwi Syslog version 9.4.x


Registering RunService.dll is not able to load RunService.dll.


Use one of the following resolutions:

Resolution 1

  1. End the Kiwi Syslog installation process via the Windows Task Manager.
  2. Reboot the computer.
  3. Re-run the Kiwi Syslog installer.

Resolution 2

  1. Click Start > Run, and then enter MSConfig.
  2. In the general tab, click Selective Startup.
  3. De-select Load Startup Items.
  4. Click the Services tab.
  5. Select Hide All Microsoft Services, and then click Disable All.
  6. Click OK, and then reboot the computer.
  7. Re-run the Kiwi Syslog installer.
