Kiwi Syslog Manager fails to start when MailStatsInterval entry field is blank

Updated March 11th, 2016

Overview

This article details an issue in which Kiwi Syslog Manager fails to start when the MailStatsInterval entry field is blank.

Environment

All versions of Kiwi Syslog Server

Cause

Under File > Setup > Email, if you leave the interval option blank, this may cause Kiwi Syslog Manager to crash. By default, KSS will add MailStatsInterval entry value as “24” in the registry so in normal scenarios crashing will not occur.

Resolution

If there is no value (blank or 0) in the field "For every _ hour(s)", use 24 as the default value.
