Internal program error has occurred when applying license

Overview

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the following error when applying a license:

 

Manager Version 9.5.0.332
Error Number: 5
Description: Invalid procedure call or argument
Module Name: Syslogd.frm
Procedure Name: MnuRegistrationDetails_Click
Line Number: 10
Date and time: 12/15/2015 2:00:35 PM

Environment

Kiwi Syslog Server version 9.5.0

Cause

The error is caused by Syslogd_Manager running without Administrator rights.

Resolution

  1. Open the Syslogd folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Syslogd
  2. Right-click Syslogd_Manager.exe file and select Properties.
  3. Click the Compatibility tab, and the select "Run this program as an administrator". 
  4. Click OK.
  5. Go to your Kiwi Syslog Service Manager and apply the license.
