Export logs to MS Excel

Table of contents

Updated March 11th, 2016

Overview

This article provides information on how to write the log files directly to a CSV file from the Kiwi Syslog Service Manager instead of exporting them from the Web Access application.

Some users prefer to view the syslog messages using Microsoft Excel. Due to system performance limitations, Web Access has a limited number of options to export data to CSV.

Environment

Kiwi Syslog Server v9.4 and later

Steps

  1. Open your Kiwi Syslog Service Manager.
  2. Go to File and click Setup or click on the white icon with the red tick mark.
