Clean old logs on a schedule - Kiwi Syslog

Overview

This article provides steps on how to create a Schedule for a log clean-up task type.

Environment

  • All version of KSS
  • All version of Windows

Steps

  1. Go to Kiwi  Syslog Server Management Console > File > Setup.
  2. On the left pane of the set up window, scroll down to Schedules, right-click and create a new Schedule.
  3. At the top, Select Task Type to clean up.
  4. Select Task Trigger to on a schedule. 

Notes:

  • The first Tab displays the options for the schedule start based on date and schedule frequency. 
  • The source Tab is where you can select the logs destination folder (where your logs are being written to).
  • The Clean up options tab has a single check box and a description of the task.
  • The Clean-up Notification tab provides options on where to send an email report once the task is run.
