Upgrade Kiwi Syslog 9.3 and 9.4.1 to 9.5

Overview

This article provides steps to upgrade Kiwi Syslog server and Web access versions 9.3 and 9.4.1 to version 9.5.

Environment

Kiwi Syslog versions 9.3 and 9.4.1

Steps

  1. Download the new version 9.5 from the Customer Portal.
  2. Download Hotfix2 from the Hotfixes section.
  3. Extract and run as administrator the Kiwi Syslog 9.5 setup.
  4. Complete the upgrade wizard selecting defaults as required, do not start the Syslog service.
  5. Extract the Hotfix2.
  6. Confirm whether the Syslog server is running as an application or a service.
  7. Backup the files that are relevant based on Step 6.
  8. Replace the files with the same executables from the Hotfix.
  9. Restart the Kiwi Syslog Service.
