Kiwi Syslog Server 9.5.2 is not compatible with Win10Pcap

Overview

If Win10Pcap is installed on the same computer as Kiwi Syslog Server, the following symptoms occur: 

  • Kiwi Syslog Server stops receiving messages, and displays an error message. 
  • When you select a Kiwi Syslog Server menu option, Kiwi Syslog closes. 
  • If you restart Kiwi Syslog,Server, the same symptoms occur again. 

Environment

  • Kiwi Syslog Server 9.5.2

Cause 

Kiwi Syslog Server is not compatible with Win10Pcap.

Resolution

Use WinPcap 4.1.3 instead of Win10Pcap:

  1. Uninstall Win10Pcap.
  2. Install WinPcap instead.
