Overview

This article describes the issue when KSS is unable to load and presents the following error:

Component 'XceedZip.dll' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Environment

  • Kiwi Syslog Server version 9.5
  • Windows 2012 R2

Cause 

This issue currently has an unknown cause but we expect it to be a Windows update that conflicts with KSS. 

Resolution

  1. Re-install the software files for KSS version 9.5.
  2. Apply the current hotfix for this version.
