Overview

This article shows how to gather Kiwi Syslog diagnostic logs for troubleshooting purposes.

Environment

All Kiwi Syslog versions

Detail

Standard Diagnostic

  1. Open Kiwi Syslog Service manager.
  2. Go to File > Create Tech-Support File (Zip).
    1. The .zip file is generated automatically. The location of the file is indicated on the message window that is displayed once the file is successfully created.
  3. You should also gather the following information and include them in the packet passed to SolarWinds support:
    1. Physical\Virtual Machine.
    2. CPU/Memory usage, OS version and others. Run msinfo32 command to get the system information.
    3. Check EventLogs for issues and, if possible, export Eventlogs on that System.
    4. Screenshot(s) of the issue and/or any error messages.
