Table of contents

This article provides information about the Kiwi CatTools database. The CatTools database uses the Microsoft Jet Database Engine, therefore .kdb file can be opened using Microsoft Access.

  • All Kiwi CatTools versions

The CatTools database is used to store all settings, devices and activities.

CatTools uses a .kdb extension file for its database. The database uses the Microsoft Jet Database Engine, therefore, the .kdb file can be opened using Microsoft Access.

The Database has a max size limit of 2GB. If the database grows larger than this size, it may become corrupted, as this is the max file size for a JET DB. If this is happening, SolarWinds recommends upgrading to the Orion Network Configuration Manager (NCM) for managing your environment.
