Bulk change Device Passwords in Kiwi CatTools

Overview

This section provides information about how to change the SSH usernames and passwords on multiple devices. 

Environment

All Kiwi CatTools versions

Resolution

To change both the SSH username and password, you will need to use two different activities:

  • DB.UpdateDevice.Password
  • DB.UpdateDevice.Text field

 

To change the device password

  1. Add a new DB.UpdateDevice.Password field activity

  2. Open the Options tab

  3. Select the option SSH Password
  4. Enter the new SSH password

To change the SSH username

  1. Add a new DB.UpdateDevice.Text field activity
  2. Open the Options tab
  3. Select the option Database Field 
  4. Select Passwords\SSH-Username from the dropdown menu
  5. Enter the new database value with a password.
