This article provides information about the Kiwi CatTools database.

CatTools uses a .kdb extension file for its database.   
The database uses the Microsoft Jet Database Engine therefore the .kdb file can be opened using Microsoft Access.

The CatTools database is used to store all settings, devices and activities.

The Database has a max size limit of 2GB. If the database grows larger than this size, it may become corrupted, as this is the max file size for a JET DB. If this is happening for a customer, it may be time for them to consider upgrading to using Orion NCM instead for managing their environment.
