Overview

This article describes an alternate command to back up Juniper network devices. The typical command used (show configuration) outputs the config in a format similar to a script, which cannot be copied and pasted to restore a running configuration.

Environment

  • All Kiwi CatTools versions
  • All Windows versions
  • Juniper OS

Steps

  1. Within the activity Dvice.backup.running config, go to Edit > Options tab.
  2. Select Use Alternate command.
  3. Paste the following command:
    show | display set | no-more
