Unable to edit IP address in IPAM

Overview

This article describes how to verify that permissions are set to allow for editing IP address details in IPAM.

Environment

IPAM 4.1.1

Cause 

If the user account in IPAM has limited permissions the account will not be able to edit IP address details.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console with an admin account. 
  2. Click Settings > Manage Accounts.
  3. Select the affected user and click Edit.
  4. On the Edit account page, expand the IP Address Manager Settings section.
  5. Set IPAM Roles & Permissions to higher than read-only.
  6. Confirm that the affected account can now edit IP address details in IPAM.
