Environment

All IPAM versions

Cause

This is an issue on the DNS server.

Possible Resolution

Note: Run the following steps from the IPAM server, and then send the output to our Support team.

1. Click Start > Run, and enter wbemtest.
2. Click Connect.
3. In Namespace, enter \\<ipaddress of DNS server>\root\MicrosoftDNS.
4. Enter the username and password used for IPam.

5. Click Connect, and then click Query.
6. Enter the following query:
    SELECT Name FROM MicrosoftDNS_Zone
You should See the DNS Zones, similar to MicrosoftDNS_Zone=<no key> for each zone.
7. Double-click one of the entries above to see the zone name at the bottom.

8. Save screen shots of the output, and send them to Support.

Note: The same issue is experienced when running the Wbemtest locally on the DNS server. This confirms that the issue is with the DNS server and not an issue within IPAM.
