Upgrade Orion Core for standalone IPAM 4.3 to 2015.1.2

Overview

This article describes how to upgrade the Orion Platform version of IPAM because of SQL injection vulnerabilities or information service improvements. For more information on SQL injection vulnerability, see CVE-2014-9566.

Environment

  • IPAM 4.3
  • Orion Platform 2014.2.1
  • Upgrading products

Steps

  1. Install NPM 11.5.X and use the evaluation period.
  2. Uninstall NPM from Control Panel.
  3. Rebuild the Orion Web Console using basic repair.
  4. Perform the following to clear .Net cache:
  5. Stop Internet Information Service (IIS).
  6. Delete and files and subfolders from c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\
  7. Restart IIS.​
