Unable to edit IP address in IPAM

This article describes how to verify that permissions are set to enable editing IP address details in IPAM.

All versions of IPAM

If the user account in IPAM has limited permissions, the account will be unable to edit IP address details.

If the user needs to be able to edit IP address details, you need to increase the user's role:

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console with an admin account.
  2. Click Settings > All Settings.
  3. Scroll down to User Accounts, and click Manage Accounts.
  4. Select the user and click Edit.
  5. On the Edit User Account page, scroll down and expand the IP Address Manager Settings section.
  6. In IPAM Roles & Permissions, select a role higher than Read Only.
  7. Click Submit.
The selected user can now edit IP address details in IPAM.
