Overview

This article discusses best practices for merging a standalone IPAM installation into an existing NPM installation.

Environment

SolarWinds Orion IPAM - all versions

SolarWinds Orion NPM - all versions

Detail

SolarWinds strongly advises customers NOT to attempt to merge a standalone IPAM installation into an existing NPM installation. Orion does not support the merging of databases. There are many constraints and dependencies which would make a successful merge impossible.
