Fixed issues

This hotfix addresses the following issues:

  • Cisco ASA did not support the special character ":" in the interface name
  • Conflict date was not properly displayed in IE
  • DHCP scanning hanged
  • IPAM did not show IP addresses
  • Subnets contained in a Group were not displayed on the Network View tab for a account with limitation

Notes

Download the hotfix from https://customerportal.solarwinds.com/HotFixes.

This hotfix must be installed on the main Orion server, all additional  polling servers, and any additional websites. Repeat the steps below for all your pollers and websites.

Installation instructions

  1. Use an Administrator account to log in to the server that hosts your SolarWinds Orion installation.
  2. Run the Orion Service Manager, click Shutdown Everything, and close the Orion Service Manager.
  3. Run the SolarWinds-IPAM-v4.7-HF2.msp file, and follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
  4. Complete the Configuration Wizard. 
    If the wizard does not launch automatically, start it in the SolarWinds Orion program folder (SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery > Configuration Wizard).

Install the hotfix with SolarWinds High Availability

Use these instructions to install the hotfix with SolarWinds HA. 

Important: The HA pool must be disabled to begin installation. If you install prior to disabling, the pool is automatically disabled.

  1. In the Orion Web Console, click Settings > All Settings > High Availability Deployment Summary.
  2. Select the pool you want to disable.
  3. Toggle High Availability to Off.
  4. Install the hotfix on the primary server in the pool as described above.
  5. Repeat to install the hotfix on any additional  polling servers, and any additional websites.
  6. In the Orion Web Console, click Settings > All Settings > High Availability Deployment Summary.
  7. Select the pool to enable, and toggle High Availability to On.

The Orion Web Console verifies all SolarWinds product versions match across the HA pair before enabling. If you receive errors, check your product versions.

You may need to recreate the HA pool. For details, see Set up an HA pool.

Uninstall instructions

  1. Use an Administrator account to log in to the server that hosts your IP Address Monitor installation.

  2. Run the Orion Service Manager, click Shutdown Everything, and close the Orion Service Manager.

  3. Navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > View installed updates.

  4. Right-click Update for SolarWinds Orion IP Address Monitor (HF2), select Uninstall, and complete the uninstallation.

  5. Complete the Configuration Wizard. 
    If the wizard is not launched automatically, start it in the SolarWinds Orion program folder (SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery > Configuration Wizard).
