Overview

IPAM is not scanning some IP addresses.

Environment

All IPAM versions

Cause 

The issue was caused by the number of IP address exceeding the number allowed by the IPAM license. Used, Reserved & Transient IP addresses count towards the IPAM license.

The customer had an IP1000 license, which allows IPAM to monitor up to 1024 IP addresses.

In this case, there were 4100 Used, 287 reserved & 2 transient IP addresses.

Resolution

Purchase a larger IPAM license (IP16000 or IPX).
