Overview

This article provides brief information and a resolution to the issue when IPAM is unable to add DHCP or DNS accounts to Orion users when the IPAM server is not joined to domain.

Environment

All IPAM versions

Cause

When the IPAM software is installed on a server which is in a  work group you cannot access any domain resources as the  integrated Windows authentication will fail to pass the credentials from a untrusted workgroup.

Resolution

Install the IPAM server on a server that is part of the Domain.
