IPAMWebContent error when attempting to edit an IP

Overview

The following error appears when editing an IP address:

Cause

The issue occurs when the account used is limited to ReadOnly privileges. The account must be set to Operator or higher to enable IP address custom properties editing.

Resolution

To set the account to have IPAM administration rights:

  1. Click Web Console > Settings > Manage Accounts.
  2. Select the name of the account you want to edit.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Scroll down to the IP Address Manager Settings and expand it.
  5. Under IPAM Roles & Permissions, set the account to Operator, Power User or Admin.
  6. Click Submit.
