ISC DHCP in IPAM

Table of contents
No headers

With version IPAM 4.1 ISC DHCP servers are supported.

The following notes apply:

1. ISC scopes in IPAM will be deleted directly (instead of going into a 'Not-Reachable' state) when subnets are removed in the DHCPD.conf file.

Note: This behavior is applicable only to ISC. In Windows and CISCO DHCP servers the scopes will go into a "not reachable state".

2. Nested Configurations are unsupported:

The nested configurations such as, a group within another group, or a shared network, are not supported in the current ISC implementation of IPAM.

For example the config below, subnets/reservations of a declared group, nested in another group, the subnets will not be parsed:

shared-network sathya {
subnet 10.10.10.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
}
group one {
subnet 21.21.21.0 netmask 255.255.255.0{}
}
}

group new {
group old {
subnet 31.31.31.0 netmask 255.255.255.0{}
}
}
