This articles describes a known issue that can occur when IPAM v1.4 is paired with NPM v11.5 and later. When attempting to add, change or remove any custom field information for IPs in IPAM, all IP information may no longer be present or an infrastructure error may occur upon going to the Manage IPs and Subnets view.

When checking in the IPAM.Businesslayer.log files under ProgramData\SolarWinds\Log\IPAM, you will errors pertaining to this.

IPAM v1.4 with NPM v11.5 and later version

The command set within SWIS for the custom fields is attempting to set ANSI_WARNINGS to OFF which comes into conflict with the information from Core. This issue was fixed in IPAM v4.2 and later.

Upgrade to IPAM v4.2 or later.
