This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the following inner exception error:

ERROR SolarWinds.IPAM.Web.Common.CommonPageServices - General exception
System.Security.Cryptography.CryptographicException: Keyset does not exist

This error only occurs when trying to view IPAM manage addresses and subnets   /Orion/IPAM/subnets.aspx.

All IPAM versions

This issue can occur on additional websites when IIS has had form authentication disabled, if so you may have to repeat these steps on each additional web server hosting the Orion website.

  1. On the additional web server click Start >Run and enter mmc.exe.
  2. From the File menu, select Add/Remove Snapins.
  3. Select the Certificates module. When you select this, it will prompt for which type of certificates, select My Computer, and then local computer.
  4. Navigate to Certificates (Local Computer) > Personal > Certificates.
  5. Right-click on the certificate named SolarWinds-Orion, choose All Tasks > Manage Private Keys.
  6. Add the group Everyone to allow them at least Read permissions for this certificate, and then click OK.

Adding this permission to the certificate should allow IPAM to display this page even when IIS form authentication is disabled
