Overview

This article describes the issue when you see an unexpected website error when accessing any IPAM page. You will see the following error in the Orion Web log:

ERROR SolarWinds.IPAM.Web.Common.CommonPageServices - General exception
System.Security.Cryptography.CryptographicException: Keyset does not exist

Environment

All versions of IPAM

 

Cause 

This issue occurs when permissions to IPAM Engine Certificate has not been granted to the Configuration wizard. 

Resolution

  1. Open MMC on the Orion server.
  2. Click Start > Run > MMC.
  3. Add Certificate Snap in by clicking File > Add/Remove Snap-in...> Certificates > Click Add > Check Computer account > Click OK.
  4. Navigate to  Personal > Certificates > Right-click the SolarWinds IPAM Engine certificate. 
  5. Click All tasks > Manage private key > Select Add Everyone and grant it Full control (both read & write).
  6. Restart all Orion services.
  7. Verify the Orion website and all IPAM pages.
