Installation requirements for Orion Firewall Security Manager module

Overview

This article provides brief information on installation requirements for Orion Firewall Security Manager module.

In addition to these requirements, you also need:
  • Host Name or IP Address of the Firewall Security Manager database server.
  • Port number, if the Firewall Security Manager database server is configured with a port other than the default, 3050.
  • Database file path on the Firewall Security Manager database server.
  • User name, if different from the Firewall Security Manager database server default.
  • Password for Firewall Security Manager database.

 

Host Name or IP Address

See your SysAdmin or the person who installed the Firewall Security Manager database. 

 

Port Number

The default port number for the Firewall Security Manager database is 3050. If the Firewall Security Manager database port has not been changed, use the default. To be certain that 3050 is the correct port for your installation, see your SysAdmin or the person who installed the Firewall Security Manager database. 

Option: On the Firewall Security Manager database host, at a command prompt, type netstat -b and press Enter. The return contains a list of port numbers, services, and executables. Find the executable fbserver.exe and confirm it is associated with port 3050.

 

Database File Path

The Orion Firewall Security Manager Module installer displays the default path to the database file. If the Firewall Security Manager default database file path was used when Firewall Security Manager was installed, use the default. To be certain that the default file path is correct for your installation, see your SysAdmin or the person who installed the Firewall Security Manager database. 

Option: On the Firewall Security Manager database host, at a command prompt, type dir *.fdb /s and press Enter. The return contains the fully-qualified path to the Firewall Security Manager database file.

 

User Name

The default user name for the Firewall Security Manager database is SYSDBA. If the Firewall Security Manager database was installed with the default user name, use the default. To be certain that the default user name is correct for your installation, see your SysAdmin or the person who installed the Firewall Security Manager database. 

 

Password 

The default password for the Firewall Security Manager database is masterkey. To obtain your credentials for your installation, see your SysAdmin or the person who installed the Firewall Security Manager database.
