Detail

The following lists additional requirements for the FSM Module:
  • Host name or IP address of the FSM database server
Consult your system administrator or the person responsible for installing the FSM database.

  • Port number, if the FSM database server is configured with a port other than the default 3050
Use the default port number for the FSM database (port 3050) if this has not been changed. To verify that 3050 is the correct port for your installation, consult your system administrator or the person responsible for installing the FSM database.
Option: At a command prompt on the FSM database host, enter netstat -b. This returns a list of port numbers, services, and executables. Find the fbserver.exe executable and confirm that it is associated with port 3050.

  • Database file path on the FSM database server

The FSM Module installer displays the default path to the database file. If the FSM default database file path was used when FSM was installed, use the default. To verify that the default file path is correct for your installation, consult your system administrator or the person responsible for installing the FSM database.

Option: At a command prompt on the FSM database host, enter dir *.fdb /s. This returns the fully-qualified path to the FSM database file.

  • User name, if the FSM database server default user name will not be used
The default user name for the FSM database is SYSDBA. If the FSM database was installed with the default user name, use the default. To verify that the default user name is correct for your installation, consult your system administrator or the person responsible for installing the FSM database.

  • Password for the FSM database
The default password for the Firewall Security Manager database is masterkey. To obtain your credentials for your installation, consult your system administrator or the person responsible for installing the FSM database.
