This article describes how to change the primary IP address in the firewall inventory.

FSM 6.4, 6.5, 6.6, 6.6.5

  1. Download the IP change tool from

  2. Unzip the downloaded file. These scripts change the primary IP address in the inventory list. The list with old and new IP address including call commands is defined in the mass_ip_change.bat script.
Note: This script is verified for FSM versions 6.4, 6.5, 6.6, and 6.6.5. The script will not work on FSM versions before 6.4.

  3. Close Firewall Security Manager.

  4.  Modify mass_ip_change.bat with the IP address pairs that need to be changed.

    • The first IP address is the old address and must exist in the inventory.

    • The second IP address is the new address and must be part of the current device interfaces list (internal, external, and so on).

  5. Execute mass_ip_change.bat.

  6. Open the Firewall Security Manager client.

  7. Verify the new primary addresses in the inventory.
