How to change the primary IP address in the firewall inventory.

  1. Download the IP change tool from

  2. Unzip the downloaded file. These scripts will change primary IP address in the inventory list.

  3. The list with old and new IP address including call commands is defined in the script mass_ip_change.bat

Note: This script is verified for FSM versions 6.4, 6.5, 6.6 and 6.6.5. The script will not work on versions of FSM prior to 6.4.

To run these scripts and change Primary IP address:

  1. Close Firewall Security Manager

  2. Modify mass_ip_change.bat with your IP address pairs to be changed
The first IP address is the old one, and must exist in the inventory.
The second IP address is the new one, and must be part of the current device interfaces list (internal, external, etc.)

  3. Execute mass_ip_change.bat

  4. Open the Firewall Security Manager client.

  5. Verify the new primary addresses in inventory.
