This article describes how you can perform an FSM migration.


All versions of FSM


  1. Perform an FSM database backup.

  2. De-activate FSM license. 

a. Go to FSM installation.

b. Launch FSM.

c. Click Help > License Manager > select Deactivate.

Note: The activation key should be available in your customer portal that you can use to activate your FSM on the new server installation.

  3.  Install FSM on the new server (drive).

  4.  Activate your license (found on the your customer portal).

a. Launch FSM.

b. Click Help and open License Manager. 

c. Click Enter your key.

 d. Finish the Installation Wizard. 

  5.  Restore your database (from the older server onto the new) using the link below:

For FSM integrated with NPM, you need to adjust the settings. 

  1. Go to the Web Console.
  2. Click Settings > FSM Settings > Manage Connection to Firewall Security Manager Database. 
  3. Adjust the settings.
