Update the SQL database password with FOE installed

This article explains how to update Orion Database password with FoE Installed on multiple servers. 


FoE version 6 and later


  1. Shut down FoE on all servers. 
  2. Start the Primary server.
  3. Run the Configuration Wizard. 
  4. Update each field in the configuration wizard that references the SQL server with the new password or hostname/IP address. 
  5. Run the Configuration Wizard on each Additional Polling Engine and/or Additional Web Server repeating the process.
  6. Start the Failover Engine back up after all the servers have been updated with the new password.
