Overview

Warnings for out of sync issues found regarding the C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\MetaBase.xml in Orion Failover Engine (FoE) Manager logs.

Environment

  • Orion Failover Engine (FoE) all versions

Cause 

 IISAdmin service is running on the passive server blocking write access to the file.

Resolution

  1. Stop the IISAdmin service from running on the passive server.
  2. If you are not interested in MetaBase.xml, you can add an exclusion in FoE file check task:
  • Go to the Data tab in Orion Failover Engine (FoE) Manager
  • On file filters add exclusion, click browse, locate C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\MetaBase.xml
  1. Re-sync.
