Overview

This article provides brief information on the the HTTP service failing to stop and preventing a switchover from completing.

Environment

FoE all versions

Cause

The SolarWinds Orion Toolset Integration service is not a protected service and does not start or stop from the Orion Failover Engine. If the SolarWinds Orion Toolset Integration service is not stopped, the HTTP service will fail to stop and prevent a switchover from completing.

Resolution

  1. Launch the Orion Failover Engine Manager.
  2. Go to the Applications: Services page.
  3. Click Add to create a new User Defined service.
  4. Select SWBrowserIntegration for the service to protect.
  5. Allow Orion Failover Engine to manage starting and stopping of the service.
  6. Click OK.
