HTTP monitor timing out in FOE environment

This article describes the issue when HTTP is going in down state. However, when Failover Engine replication is turned, off, HTTP monitor stabilizes



  • SAM 6.2
  • Failover Engine 6.7



This issue occurs when Failover Engine checks which file should be synchronized between servers changing its content which results to synchronizing them more often.



  1. Open Failover Engine Manager.
  2. Go to Data >File Filters.
  3. By editing all of inetpub folder and disabling it, you will notice that the Inetpub folder is root cause or another IIS folder.

If this works, include web.config file in this folder.
