Overview

This article describes what to do when the Failover Engine services does not stay started on any Orion server with FOE.

Environment

  • FOE 6.4
  • FOE 6.7

Cause 

The FOE license is outdated.

Resolution

  1. Open License Manager at Start > All Programs > SolarWinds and see if the Failover Engine license is out of date.
  2. If it is, log into your Customer Portal and acquire the new license to activate/upgrade the existing FOE installation.
