Overview

EOC resources are not showing maps and throwing the following error:
Unexpected error: An error occurred while generating map NAME

Upon clicking Edit, the drop-down menu does not list any maps.

Environment

All EOC versions

Cause

Corrupted website and/or permissions issue on the EOC server.

Resolution

Most commonly, you can just run the EOC Configuration Wizard with Website component checked. If that does not help, set following permissions on these folders:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files - Full control rights for Users group

C:\Windows\Temp\SolarWinds\NetworkAtlas\EOC\SolarWinds\NetworkAtlas\MapsWeb\EOC\localhost - Full control rights for Everyone with inheritance and replacing the rights in subfolders.
