Links to the Orion Server in EOC do not work

Updated May 10, 2017

Overview

This article provides information on the issue where the links to the Orion Server for the Orion instances placed in EOC do not work. The links end with characters such as &.

Environment

All EOC versions

Cause

When a user clicks a link to Orion Server, it redirects to the Orion Server using the following format:
https://<OrionServerURL>/<DetailsPageUrl>&AccountID=<Username>&Password=<Password>.

When the <password> has the & symbol, everything that follows it is treated as a separate parameter and causes the pages to not load properly.

Resolution

Remove the & symbol from any password that EOC uses.
