Web pages are missing buttons in resources such as Manage Accounts

Overview

In some browsers - including certain versions of Internet Explorer - the web resources featured in EOC, such as Manage Accounts and Manage SolarWinds Servers, do not display all buttons on the page. This may prevent Administrators from completing tasks in EOC.

Environment

  • Supported versions of Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
  • Supported versions of Enterprise Operations Console (EOC)
  • Most Orion modules

Cause 

  1. This is related to a browser compatibility issue.
  2. The user account may not have View Customization rights (even if they have Administrator rights).

Resolution

  • You can commonly resolve this in Internet Explorer using the Compatibility View.
  • In Chrome or Firefox, the latest versions of the browser should avoid the issue.
  • Check the user's account for View Customization rights.
