Resolving Bad Data Web Errors in EOC

Overview

This article details steps to take if you receive a Bad Data error in the Enterprise Operations Console.

Environment

All EOC versions

Resolution

  1. Run the EOC configuration Wizard from Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Enterprise Operations Console, with all three initial options selected and default settings for the rest.
  2. If the above does not help when this error is encountered, the following should be verified:
    1. The EOC database cannot be shared between two different instances of EOC.
    2. If the server hosting EOC is formatted, the same EOC database cannot be used again.
    3. If the certificate has been changed, the same database cannot be used.
  3. If none of the above is true, submit a support ticket.

 

If you wish to use the same EOC database, any Orion servers currently added to EOC must be deleted and added again.
