EOC incompatibility issue with Google Chrome and Safari

When using Google Chrome or Safari and viewing resources on the EOC website, some resources are presented as tables. This has been noticed by users of Google Chrome and Safari after updating to IIS 8.


  • All versions of EOC
  • Google Chrome or Safari web browsers


The issue is with the user agent and not the browser.


Google Chrome

  1. Launch Google Chrome browser.
  2. Go to Apps > Store.
  3. Download and install User-Agent Switcher for Chrome.Open the URL in Chrome.
  4. Click Chrome UA Spoofer on the right side of the address bar.
  5. Select Firefox and then, Windows Firefox version.


  1. Open Safari, then pull down “Preferences” from the Safari menu
  2. Click on “Advanced” tab and check the box next to “Show Develop menu in menu bar”
  3. Close out of Preferences and find the new “Develop” menu alongside “Window”, pull that down and select “User Agent”
  4. Pick any pre-specified user agent or select “Other” to use a different user agent string
