Overview

The bandwidth you need depends on the total data you are collecting from your SolarWinds servers each polling cycle and the duration of your polling cycles.

  • EOC, all versions

WAN traffic

For WAN to EOC, see Estimating inbound traffic.
For EOC to WAN, you need approximately 2/3rds of inbound WAN.

Traffic between SQL Server and EOC

EOC to SQL is the same as inbound WAN.

SQL to EOC is 1/20th of inbound WAN.

To estimate the total data, pick the model that most closely matches your environment:
