Overview

This article describes the issue when maps in the Enterprise Operations Web Console show unknown statuses for at least one Orion instance object.

Environment

EOC 1.6.3 and older

Cause

This issue occurs when the custom properties in EOC are being seen incorrectly by EOC. The properties need to be reinitialized.

Resolution

  1. Run the following query against the EOC database:
    exec dbo.EOC_spInitializeCP
  2. Wait at least ten minutes.
  3. Refresh the EOC Web Console to verify that previously unknown statuses are now displaying information.

Note: Future queries may need to be repeated in the future to clear other unknown statuses.
