Log in to EOC for the first time

To begin using EOC, complete the instructions included in the EOC Installation Guide to properly prepare and install your product on an independent server using the SolarWinds Orion installer.

You cannot install EOC on a server with other Orion Platform products. For more information, see SolarWinds Orion Installer.

Once you have completed the installation of EOC, log in by:

  1. Launch the Orion Web Console. This can be launched either of the following two methods:
    • From your SolarWinds Orion program folder: Click Start > All Programs > SolarWinds > Orion Console
    • Open a browser on your Orion server using http://ip_address or http://hostname of your Orion server, where ip_address is the IP address of your server and hostname is the domain name of your server. If you have opted to use SSL, use https://.
  2. Enter the default user name Admin and leave the password field blank. Administrator accounts allow you to manage user accounts, begin adding SolarWinds sites, or configure the Orion Web Console.
  3. Click Login.

For security, SolarWinds recommends that you change the password for the administrator account.

The first time you log in to SolarWinds EOC, the Discovery Central page opens. Click Manage SolarWinds Sites to begin adding sites, or click Go to Orion Home to open the Enterprise Environment Summary view.

When you are logged in to the Web Console as an administrator, the Settings > All Settings option is available in the navigation bar. Use this option to manage user accounts and SolarWinds Sites, and to customize the Orion Web Console.
